August 31, 2022 – The year 1973 was the first year a Featherlite trailer was manufactured. And now nearly 50 years later, Featherlite has kicked off its year-long 50th Anniversary celebration with the launch of its 2023 model year trailers.
Featherlite marked this milestone by holding a 50th Anniversary Kickoff Celebration with its 400 employees in Cresco, Iowa. Employees were presented a special 50th Anniversary t-shirt, while CEO & Owner Tim Masud offered a trip down memory lane recapping some of the brand’s historical milestones, as well as words of appreciation for all employees.
“What is Featherlite?,” Masud asked. “Many of you would say it’s a brand and it is. But I think it’s more than that. It’s right here (pointing to the employees). Every person standing in front of me is Featherlite Trailers. Nothing happens without the employees.” Masud noted that over one third of the workforce at Featherlite has been with the company for over 25 years.
The company also welcomed back former CEO Conrad Clement and other leadership team members to join in the celebration.
To mark the 50th edition of Featherlite trailers, special 50th emblems will be placed on each 2023 Featherlite trailer. The event included a special champagne toast with all employees to mark the official production start of these models, while Masud had the distinction of placing the first emblem on a Featherlite trailer.
“Featherlite trailers have been hauled by our customers for millions of miles over these last 50 years,” Vice President – General Manager Justin Queensland said. “Not only is this a time for our employees to celebrate, but we also recognize the dealers who have helped to bring the Featherlite product to so many people. We look forward to celebrating our 50th Anniversary throughout the next year with our employees, dealers and customers.”
