May 2, 2023 – Featherlite Trailers is excited to announce its contribution of $50,000 to the Cadet Capital Campaign on behalf of all its Featherlite employees.
The Cadet Capital Campaign is helping to support the Howard-Winneshiek Community School’s current building project to connect the existing elementary/junior high and high school. The project includes a new alternative learning center, weight room, auxiliary gym, wrestling room, locker rooms, storage, training rooms, coaches offices, officials rooms, corridor, creating new classroom space and vestibule. Their total goal is to raise $1,000,000.
The Howard-Winneshiek Community School District serves the communities of Chester, Cresco, Elma, Lime Springs, Ridgeway and surrounding areas.
“Our local school is an integral part of our community and to many of our employees and their families,” Featherlite Trailers President Justin Queensland said. “We are honored to be able to be part of this educational initiative and to help support the expansion of opportunities for our local youth. And with Featherlite celebrating our 50th Anniversary, what better way to show our support than through this $50,000 contribution.”
The donation was officially made to the Cadet Capital Campaign and its representatives on May 1. During the event, several junior high and high school students toured a Featherlite race transporter, Model 4410 and living quarters horse trailer that were on display outside Crestwood High School.
