Job Summary:

This role will support all Warehouse Shipping and Receiving operations and will flex between departments as assigned. The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude. We are also seeking candidates with inventory management experience and strong computer skills to join our team.

Essential Functions:

Cross-trained on all aspects of a Shipping & Receiving Associate to provide coverage as assigned – Daily work subject to change. A skills and interests assessment will be performed to ensure the selected candidates are placed appropriately.

  • Perform essential receiving functions including unloading trucks, identification of material, quality and quantity inspection, and stocking to warehouse shelves.
  • Verifies receipt quantity against packing list and purchase order, immediately reports discrepancies to freight carrier, Receiving Clerk, and Purchasing Agent.
  • Shares responsibility in inspecting incoming freight, annotating visible and/or possible internal damage on shipment Bill of Lading, and working with QC team.
  • Responsible for safely putting materials away in the assigned locations.
  • Process direct and indirect material requisitions from each worksite, shipping components in a timely manner, striving for a high level of accuracy.
  • Perform essential shipping functions for Parts Department orders including preparing accurate freight quotes, pulling inventory, packaging freight orders (requires regular use of power tools), preparing shipping documents, shipping material, and maintaining / publishing outbound shipment logs.
  • Opportunities for overtime, project work available.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Cycle counts warehouse material or cleans assigned area(s) in accordance with direction provided by Warehouse Management during times of lesser activity.
  • This candidate will be expected to utilize computers throughout the workday.
  • This candidate will be expected to use a forklift and have or obtain certification.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented; Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a low error rate.
  • Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse or inventory management procedures.
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn basic functions of Microsoft Excel.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to learn / must qualify to drive a forklift
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
