Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer would start as being a position where one can provide wiring and schematic drawings supporting standard and custom trailer models. Manage design documents and/or revision changes. Utilize AutoCAD and/or Inventor as well as a variety of other software to produce electrical schematics and drawings. Support production personnel, sales, warranty, and engineering team to meet customer specifications.

Essential Functions:

  • Work independently to perform electrical design functions and calculations in power requirements, branch circuit design, sizing of wire and over current protection, raceway fill, and other aspects of electrical code design.
  • Design power distribution systems in low and high voltage, DC, AC, single phz/3 phz
  • Revise documents to current requirements
  • Design interior and exterior lighting layouts
  • Use AutoCAD/Inventor to develop layout and detail drawings
  • Review current CAD programs and drawing standards – update as needed
  • Create complete electrical parts list to satisfy all aspects of installation
  • Facilitate and implement new changes as industry standards/innovations continue to evolve
  • Find solutions to problems as they arise
  • Communicate effectively with other departments
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 4-year degree with coursework in electrical design, electronics or 2 yr. degree with significant experience installing electrical components in either residential or commercial field
  • CAD experience preferred
  • Computer skills with MS Office
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with LAN networks CAT5/CAT6 and Audio/Video components desired
