Me and My Feather Contest
The feather on the front of a Featherlite trailer is recognizable everywhere it goes, especially at horse shows. Now we want to see where else the feather can go, and that's where we need your help! Featherlite is inviting youth to enter Featherlite's "Me and my feather" contest.
Contest Details
To enter the Featherlite "Me and my feather" contest, download and print a photograph of Featherlite's feather NOW. Then come up with a unique location or scenario to place the feather in and take a photograph.
You can either take the photograph yourself, or you can have someone else take the photo so you can be in it too. The photo must be original, so don't manipulate an existing photo. Participants are allowed to cut the feather out, but the entire feather must be shown in the photograph.
The photograph does not have to be equine related, but it can be if you want. You may be traveling on a great summer vacation or going to a camp where you can take the feather with you. Or maybe you stay right at home and photograph it. The possibilities are endless.
All entries are due to Featherlite by August 1, 2008. You may either send the photograph to the address below, or you can email the digital photograph to yrcontest@fthr.com. Beginning August 20, Featherlite will display the winning photographs here on our website where people can vote for their favorite photograph in each age group to determine the two Grand Prize winners. Voting will end September 18, 2008.
Rules
Only one entry per person is allowed, and you must be 18 and under to enter. If your entry wins, your parent or guardian must sign a release form before your photograph, along with first name, initial of your last name and state, will be posted online.

Be sure to include your name, address, age, phone number and email address (optional) with your entry.
What if I can't print the feather?
If you do not have a printer or have problems printing the feather, you may write to us at the above address or email us to have the feather mailed to you. Please allow a few weeks to receive the feather by mail. Be sure to include your address so we know where to send it.
Prizes
There will be two age groups - 12 and under and 13 and above. We will be awarding 10 prizes in each age group. Five of those prizes will be awarded by drawing an entry randomly, while the other five prizes will be given to those entrants who the Featherlite judges deem to have the 'most original' photograph.
Everyone who enters will receive a horse poster from Featherlite. Winners will receive a Featherlite t-shirt and a photo frame. The grand prize winners will receive a Featherlite jacket and photo frame.
