1609 Cargo Utility Trailer
Featherlite’s Model 1609 “Mod Pod” can be a great alternative to owning a minivan or SUV. It is well-suited to hauling ATVs, bicycles, camping gear or kayaks. The Mod Pod also performs well when hauling business, hobby and household materials, making it a leader in versatility for utility trailers and recreational trailers. Optional floor tie-downs and a luggage rack let you secure any kind of cargo, while the rear ramp and flip-top roof provide unparalleled access.
The Mod Pod measures 8’ or 10' long by 6’ wide with a 4’ height on the 8' model and 5' on the 10' model. It is an all-aluminum trailer with a wood floor and black lining underneath. All lights are LED lights, and the trailer rides on a long-lasting rubber torsion axle. The Mod Pod is available in many different colors with options including a luggage tie down track, tool box and interior light.

Featherlite uses the pierce-and-roll rivet system in the fabrication of its roof to minimize water leakage. This system is also used by airplane manufacturers, and it fastens the aluminum sheets to each other without piercing the inner sheet. Water has a harder time entering the trailer, since no rivet hole fully pierces the trailer’s roof.
